Where should we stay?
We kindly ask that all our guests stay at our host resort Sandos Playacar. We want our wedding celebration to be a vacation experience for everyone and we'd love to spend some time with you outside the Wedding Day, be that at the pool, by sharing a few meals and drinks together or maybe even experiencing an excursion as a group. We have set aside a block of discounted rooms (minimum 3-night stay) at this resort and we ask that you make your reservation through our travel coordinator MarieSam.
We'd also love to see your photos from any of our wedding events, please use our hashtag for any social media posts #FinallyaMosodeen
When should we arrive?
You've traveled all this way, so you might as well make a vacation out of it and join us as early as possible. Our room block is available from May 9 to 16, 2023. And the Wedding Day is on Friday, May 12, 2023. We recommend that you arrive at least 1 to 2 days before the Wedding Day. But please come and stay as long as you'd like.
What should I wear to the wedding?
Think beachy, but elegant. We suggest leaving the heels at home because a portion of our wedding celebration will be on the sand.
What do we do about transportation in Mexico?
Transportation to and from the resort is include with your hotel stay via a private shuttle service.
Do you we have to stay at Sandos Playacar? Can we stay somewhere else and still attend your wedding?
All guests must stay at our host hotel to attend our wedding celebration. If you are not staying at Sandos Playacar, you will be required to pay a visitor's fee to attend our wedding ceremony and reception for the day.
What is the weather like? What should we pack for our trip?
Playacar, Mexico is typically warm and humid -- temperatures are usually in the 80s or 90s. We recommend bringing light summer clothing and swimsuits. Other helpful essentials include sunblock, mosquito repellent, water shoes, swim coverups, flip-flops, a light cap or hat, sunglasses, etc. Think beach vacation with beach elegant attire for the Wedding Day and beach chic attire for dinners on the other nights during your stay.
For the men -- some of the restaurants and dining experiences have a dress code. So please bring a pair of slacks and closed-toe shoes. (The dress code is not always enforced but we want you to be prepared just in case!)
